ABOUT MYSELF
I am a detail oriented designer with a depth of creative knowledge and tasteful design aesthetic who has worked with many of the industry's top professionals. My strong background in designing children’s books and Young Adult novels include cover solutions and interior layouts from start to finish. Each role has been an important part of my career, and provided the tools to develop both personally and professionally. I have an appreciation for all kinds of books and all kinds of readers.

Associate Art Director 2000-2005
Responsible for every stage of the jacket and cover design process, as well as interiors from concept to production. Worked closely with the Art Director and Designers, Illustrators, Editorial, Production and Marketing teams. Read manuscripts to develop artwork and images with both established and up-and-coming illustrators, and outside creatives. Carefully prepared all design layouts into pre-press files for digital printing. Approved printed proofs and color correction.

Designed children’s picture books and young adult novels. Converted list of hardcover books to paperback and imprints.
Responsibilities included management of the backlist titles and marketing material for sales presentations and special projects.
